walking through giudecca - looking at venice

during my stay in venice, there were several surreal moments and encounters.

most of these moments were somehow linked to the biennale:
there was this absolutely surreal moment on saturday morning at arsenale, when i was bumping into a colleague who i knew from back home  [isn't it always surreal to meet people outside the usual radius of action?].
another chance encounter with a swedish artist, who i met at the biennale. turned out, that both of us stayed at the same hostel. we spent a rememberable evening at the hotel bar together.  over wine we had a great conversation; this girl is extremely inspiring.
last but not least: the biennale itself was an absolute highlight. in fact: i felt drunk of stimulus satiation when watching that massive amount of absolutely exciting exhibits [and i didn't see even all of it]!

besides biennale there were some more excellent moments:
drinking coffee in a bar close to giardini short time after closing the gates of biennale - watching all the people leaving the area.
watching those massive, huge cruise liners leaving venice at night was bizarre! those ships - twice as high as the architecture of the island - made the buildings look like tiny dollhouses
